A friend of mine is having a birthday get together on Saturday. I have met some of her friends a couple of times and I am from a different circle of friends. When I have met her friends I have found it being a long evening, as I am not a fan of small talk and do not seem to have much to talk about with them and feel awkward. Any hints and advice to help me get through the evening and actually enjoy myself, would be grateful. PS - we are in our thirties in case you need to know. Thanks!
