Am I actually better off using paid dating sites? I have not had any success in PoF or OkCupid.

Should I really start using premium sites? I was suggested to try it out and actually buy membership. Is it worth it and would it have a higher chance of landing a date? I prefer a serious relationship.

The problem with paid sites is that they keep the profiles of unpaid people active but don't allow them to respond to messages. So when you send a message you don't know if they'e able to respond on not. I don't like the way they use paid and unpaid profiles as bait to get people to pay the fees without them being aware of whether they're wasting their time to write a nice message a particular person. I also don't think you're likely to go from zero success to highly successful just by paying a fee. I'd say putting more effort into your existing profiles, and/or just getting out there and trying to meet people in person are likely to be better strategies.

I've tried both paid and free dating sites. The only difference I've seen is that the people who reject me on the paid sites are a little bit more educated and well off than the ones who rejected me on the free ones.

most of the people on the free ones are also on the paid ones, so the chances of seeing the pictures over and over are fairly high. i found a lot of crossover between match and okcupid people. i have never tried eharmony, but among people i know it has been quite successful for long-term matches, and i went to a wedding three years ago for my friend who married her eharmony match. if i had to pay for any again i'd probably try eharmony; at least you feel like the people there are trying a tad bit harder

On match.com, my profile has been favorited a few times and I have some emails from girls. I know this because Match.com keeps sending me actual emails..."she favorited you!" or "she messaged you!" . But I can't respond because I don't pay.

My "profile" has no pics. Says absolutely nothing about me. The name is completely random.

Match.com is just straight up dishonest. Hopefully no one actually falls for that crap, but reading post here, I am sure plenty do.
