genuinelyloverly7
Hello all- I recently created a page on fet-life (mainly to find out about goings-on in my area), and got an email from a significantly younger guy (me-35, he-22!) askin if we could get acquainted. Now, I'm pretty sure his intentions are casual, as were mine when I responded. I mean, why not try that couger thing out once, right? So we've been texting a little... And I intend to let him know once we meet in person that that is where I am with him, due to his age. My question is, how does casual dating work when your also looking for the one? Do you think it fills the space where your life-mate should go? Does it create this satisfied glow that people are attracted to? I kind of think both might be true... No-one wants to sit at home alone while waitin for their one, and going out alone gets old... But dating people for fun and nothing else also gets old. What are people's thoughts? Also, am I doing some sort of potential emotional damage to this fine young man? My last thought about this person is that it would be so ironic if I went on a date with him, and then his older brother or uncle came along and was more appropriate, but wouldn't date me because of my associations with the younger man... Random worry I guess... Thoughts? Comments? Tips?
melodymatters
I don't know what fet life is and if that changes anything, but the only " warning" I have is that BOTH times I dated significantly younger I thought and accepted that it was going to be a fling and instead I ended up married ! ( My first younger H developed epilepsy and died 9 months after we married, I have been married over 3 yrs to my current H who is in his 20's while I am in my 40's) At the end of the day, a person is a person and every relationship is different. If he interests you why not go into it with an open mind ? Treat him like a human being not an oddity.
