KBarletta
Hi all, I'm relatively new to these boards, but I have to share something that just happened just because it broke my heart and I have to put it into words or it will be like it didn't happen. Back story: Three weeks ago, my wife shocked me by announcing her intention to move out (with our daughter) after nearly 10 years together. She will be doing so tomorrow morning. I made it clear I couldn't be around for the packing and moving, so I am staying with friends tonight. My tradition for many years has been to have dinner with our daughter on Fridays and give my wife some alone time. I did the same tonight. Around 8 p.m., I dropped our daughter off at our house to discover my wife drinking beer with three of four of her friends, laughing and having a "packing party." I was hurt so I quickly said my goodbyes to our daughter and got the hell out of the house. As I walked to my car, I glanced back toward the house and saw my wife watching me walk away from the front door window. The image of her face watching me walk away just destroyed me, broke my heart. I don't know what the future holds for us exactly, but I know that no matter what, I will never lose the image of her face in the window as I walked away. Sorry for the long story - I just had to share it to ease my pain a bit.
