My first day of online dating.

Not judging.

Been playing this game for a long time. Just saying that is happened. To each their own.

Sometimes when you don't fit what 99 out of 100 women want it's a little frustrating. I certainly do not plan on whining about it.

Can you see why that would be frustrating when you are looking for somebody to make a real life compatibility connection with and the sheer number of women who will not accept your height and/or race prevents you from even really getting any kind of a good pool of potentials together before you've even spoken a word to each other?

BTW, I do understand that my physical attributes put me far from average and that it is kind of a 'it's your problem' kind of thing. C'est la vie.

OK, there was a tad bit of whining, but now I'm done. I promise. I mean, really whatever happens, happens. I literally expect zero dates. It's just a new thing to try.

lol and people on here have said height isn't such a big deal. It's definitely a big deal when even some dating sites now are allowing women to list their own height requirements to eliminate all the shorter guys. And like you said an overwhelming majority on there want someone that's around 5'10" or taller.

I think probably 99% of people would put me at a 7. It's a normal and realistic number. At my best I'm an 8 at my worst I'm a 6, that's only 2 points difference so, really, from worst to best I don't change much. I pretty much look consistently the same no matter what.

You shouldn't think of yourself as average than like you always say you are. Since a 7 is above average & an 8 is way above average.

Just about every woman will look awesome with daily professional styling! But no one does that.

An attractiveness level isn't assesed by "what one could be", it's based on how someone looks on a regular basis, day to day

Ah, so that's how your wrong assessment of both your own beauty, and that of all others came to be.

You are assessing them at their presenting themselves to the outside world level, and assessing yourself only at your sitting alone with a cup of tea watching Hell on Wheels level, and still you're surprised by the discrepancy.

Again, 5.5 is the absolute middle of the scale of ALL women/(humans)... and there is zero chance that your looks ever get anywhere near as low as "6.00".

Now lots of women are unrealistic to a detrimental fault in their dating life... but it's never unrealistic on THIS end of things

Every guy is different. I know a lot of women tend to go for the same types, but men tend to look for different things, and it can really be as simple as they make it sound. A lot of guys, especially younger ones, really are happy with a girl based on something as simple as being a petite Asian girl. Men don't generally have nearly as many dealbreakers as women do. I know when I was younger, I was a sucker for a pretty girl. Since I've a little older and more experienced, I am no longer impressed by beauty alone. I'd much rather have an average looking girl that is a better person.

That's why men should stay off of dating sites. I will not subject myself to that crap anymore. The constant failure on dating sites will get to you without you even realizing it. I think OLD has created man bitter dudes.

Yeah, I agree. Women are 10x more shallow online than in real life.
