When I brought up that it's been going on for almost four weeks and he should have been able to find another car by now she got all defensive. I had to listen to her go on about how he is trying but he doesn't have a lot of money because he is paying support for four kids

Her getting defensive over this should of already sent off a massive red alert for you. Tell her to have the guy get a ride to work from a dude or a single female co-worker.

Yep. BWOOOOOOP! BWOOOOOOP! BWOOOOOOP! ( that is the bull**** detector going off )

When they get all defensive like that, they are taking their OMs side and feelings into consideration and not yours.

Once you catch her, she'll be sure to tell you what a loser he is, but right now, he's just a super honorable hard working father of 4 blah blah blah...

Seems like this one shot wonder has gone, mods please close the thread.

Why? It's only been 2 days. He'll likely be back to give an update. Might have a lot going on.

Give the guy a break. He didn't start this thread to entertain you. Discovering the affair, var's and all that is the easy part. The decisions over what to do next are the tough bits, and when the serious **** is going down the last thing he'll want to do is give updates to strangers who are just going to shout 'divorce her!' At him.

Jackslife, get over yourself already. The general trend is people vent, they take advice and disappear again. Check my posts before you fire inane comments at me hey?

But nothing you just said guarantee's this is an instance of someone venting and disappearing. So, why would it hurt to leave it open a few more days? Not like it's going to crash the servers of Loveshack.

Personally I would only close threads if the OP flat out asks..or if it has to be closed because people behave badly. I would not do so simply because the OP has not responded. I'd feel weird asking the mods to close a thread that isn't my own. Especially since it is entirely possible leaving the topic open might help others going through similar things..sometimes people don't want to post their situation even if they know it is anonymous. So I don't know, I don't see the harm in leaving topics open. I've yet to see a thread that literally had people continuing to reply to it even though the OP has been gone for many months or something.

  • 2 weeks later...

You're not going to tell us if you placed the recorder and found any new info?

Come on, you won't get kicked out if you give info/updates.

Not going to make anymore comments on this post every time I write something I get kicked out of here

I don't follow, why would you get kicked out for writing something?

Huh?! I've never seen anyone kicked out for posting. Some have been given "banned" status for some outrageous statements, but kicked out?... uh uh.
