OCCDAVE Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 Before anyone says i'm just being jealous or over reacting hear me out.First off my parents both hate and i will explain well my dad likes my brother the most and he gets a ton of stuff and i get nothing.What boils my blood the most i respect both of my parents and never talk back to them yet my brother calls them every name in the book and who gets punished for it yup me.My dad wont even let me get my permit unless i get a job while my brother is driving around in a 2005 nissan that he didn't pay a penny for.That's not it he also has gotten about 6 cell phones in a span of a month not to mention tonight i ask if i can get 15 bucks for a hair cut and my dad said maybe later this week.I figured sure no big deal since i'm more understanding then my brother but only to find out he was given 350 for some tinted windows for his car talk about not fair.Anyway if this wasn't bad enough i'm severely depressed and i'm pretty sure my mom knows then again she could care less.I'm just hoping when i take my g e d next month i pass it so i can go to this computer school where i would have to move out to and not see my family BTW if anyone thinks my mom is nice this is the same person who has gotten my sisters who never said a curse word to say some of the worst things that can come out of someone's mouth Link to post Share on other sites

Tamed Wildflower Posted April 9, 2005 Share Posted April 9, 2005 You're right this is really unfair treatment, I can see how you may begin to feel like your parents don't love you, or even just be frustrated that they don't seem to want to treat you fairly. Have you ever tried talking to your parents about this? It may be a relief for you to move out to get away from them, but in the long run they are the only family you've got, and I think you'd like to have good relations with them throughout your life. Whichever parent you feel more comfortable having a heart-to-heart type of talk with, sit them down and talk with him/her about this. Don't focus on the material things, you're not talking business here, you are talking love and respect and caring. I'm guessing that the problem is not so much that your brother gets more, but that you feel like your parents think you are about as good as dirt when they ignore you like this, and parents should never make their kids feel this way. Also, tell your mother or father that you have been feeling depressed and that you need some understanding from them. Lastly, yes, you will get more response at Loveshack if you make your posts easier to understand. Please use punctuation and spaces between sentences. This is just a common courtesy in online forums.
