Tina1962
My husband says that I have let myself go. He says I'm fat. We have a total of 8 children, 5 of which are living with us now. Our youngest will turn 4 on March 27th. My husband has been disabled since Nov. 2003 due to a car accident. I have stayed home to help him raise 4 teenagers plus the little one. I'll admit, since we married I have gained about 50 pounds. I don't like junk food that much, I guess being home a lot has made me eat more without thinking about it. I am 5'-7" and 200 lbs. He is 5' -10" and 145 lbs ( Priorly 165 lbs). He has lost 20 lbs since his accident. He doesn't want me to work because of the little one. I would just like some input..... and yes, for myself, I would like to loose some weight. Thanks, Tina
agnf666
Well most diet supplements doesn't work all that well. Basically if you watch what you eat and exercise it should help. Other then that you could try the low carb diet. I lost a good 10 to 20 lbs with that diet but I quit. Instead of eating chips eat carrots. Start taking vitamins. You have to start somewhere. tiki
Get active. Walk, ride bikes, take the kids to the pool. You'll feel better about yourself in the process!
Haunani
Tina - how bad do YOU want this? If you want it bad enough you will find a way to get it. Research what you can about diets and just do it. One foot in front the other and begin. It has taken me a good year to lose 70 lbs, now I'm only 5'0 and was near 200 lbs myself. It has taken alot of discipline, no excuses on why I can't and changing the mindset to "I can " instead. Remember that it's not a "diet" its a lifestyle change. Change one thing, then another. Remember to drink at least 1/2 your weight in ounces and eat 5-6 mini meals a day. Plan your meals and cook your own foods. Stay clear of those fast food places - they are simply evil. Choose wisely. Broil and grill. Replace - instead of wesson oil, use PAM, instead of sugar, try honey, instead of a fried taco, choose a nice pita pocket with salsa. If you eat salads, put the dressing on the "side" and choose lite, fat free or vinegar/oil mixes. Watch your Portion sizes! Read read read what you can. You can't get there if you don't begin, so start off small, instead of 2 scoops of potatoes.
