The garlic part of the post was humor... you do know what pheromones are ?

There is nothing you can do, it's a natural animal attraction.. just go and have fun.. if it happens it happens and no there isn't anything you can do to affect that pheromone attraction.

Her wording is pathetic. It is an easy out of the date to put such a disclaimer out front, prepare for high-maintenance... Pheromones are the topic of attractive, barely detectable smells between people. I don't think I'd be spraying AXE on me to satisfy such nonsense. Good luck.

Pheromones are, like any form of chemical signalling, something from other species that humans have evolved away from utilising. We don't really make them, can't detect them, and don't respond to them. For example: if we could, one of the strongest indications it would communicate would be ovulation in women - and yet men are, famously, terrible at intuitively knowing when women are either on their period or at the height of their cycle.

None of which matters anyway, she's just saying she wants you to click in person.

Go meet her after the gym and without washing.

Pheromones are actually still important but it's not something you can force in any way.

Natural scent is either attractive or not to the opposite gender.

Hi Readytodateagain,

What about your own 1st meet criteria? Don't worry so much about what she is thinking, if you've had good emails & telephone calls then just go forward with that same "chemistry". If the conversations were brief & basic, then she may be counting on some kind of physical attraction in person, before really deciding if she wants invest time in developing a RS with you.

Her last RS's could have been purely physical with no emotional connection but great sex & that's what she's basing her "type" on?

I wonder if pheromones are at all relevant to the way a person naturally smells (without any unnatural fragrances OR bacteria build up i.e. body odor). I have noticed that different humans seem to have their own unique scent, sans perfume or shampoo or anything like that. Like a very subtle scent to their natural dander, so to speak, their skin and scalp and such. It becomes stronger when they are sweaty and whatnot but it's also not the same thing as BO from bacteria build up in the armpit or something. Some humans' natural dander scent is very similar, as well, I've noticed. Probably has a lot to do with other things like diet, but I wonder how much of it is inherent.

That is what pheromones are basically all about.

BO is different and down to bacteria lingering on old or not well washed clothes and excess sweat in a confined space...unless someone hasn't washed for a while of course.

Anti-perspirant helps but someone can still smell like themselves and gorgeous with only soap and AP.

Deodorant does not kick BO.

I know that dogs love the smell of dead things......nothing better for a dog to roll around in the smell of a dead toad....personally i cant stand the smell of dead toad.......i would suggest on the date you concentrate on just being you......with no dead toad...smell like.....chocolate.....roll in that.....or apple pie....smear it on ...real estate agents say its the best way to encourage buyers for your house....apple pie or cookies...might work for her.....

honestly....if the spark for her isnt there, she will let you know.....doesnt matter what her pheromones say...unless of course she is a dog.....then dead toad has that spark.........deb

She's just saying she has to see if the chemistry is there. I guess she thinks if it's there, it will set off her pheromones. I'm lucky. What sets off my pheromones is good hot salsa.:)

the power of repetition is probably more apt than pheromones dont you think..if he says choc chip cookies enough on the date ......he will probably smell just like choc chip cookies....gooey center ...melt in the mouth butter biscuit....warm and luscious straight from the oven...rather than...here it comes...dead toad.........deb

I'm not completely sure about pheromones, but humans, especially human females are very sensitive to a man's scent.

I'm not quite sure what happened but I had wild sex with a girl not long after meeting her in person because my scent +cologne was driving her crazy.

The heck is wrong with people? "The law of pheromones?" Sounds like a Biology whackjob, to me. Personally, I'd cancel the date just from that. You can't really experience someone as a person until you date them, and if you're not interested in the person, you're not interested.

Pheromones exist. We just don't use them in the same way as animals. It is what we speak of when we mention "Chemistry". Our body's way of telling if another person is genetically compatable. It is often why you can find "something" attractive about someone without being attracted to them.

A personal example: I had a thing for my sister's bff. I thought she was cute, and she smelled amazing(chemistry/pheromones). After high school, I lived at home and worked a third-shift job while saving for college. One night, unknown to me, this girl and her mother stayed at our house. They used my bed since I was at work. I got home, after they had left, and limbed into bed. Well, mother and daughter are very similar, because the whole bed smelled of this girl. Neeless to say, it took me 2 hours to fall asleep. Figures. Finally get her in my bed, and I'm not there.

I had a male dog that would go absolutely banana's if there was a woman in the room that was menstruating....More than one and id have to lock him up in a room..

Eh, I dunno...

Get a bunch of hundred dollar bills and wipe them all over yourself before the meeting.....

I know pheromones is mostly a lot of bunk. The original study on it concluded that just about any woman would develop pheromones from being touched enough by any man -- and that is not only wishful thinking but dangerous thinking and definitely NOT true. Being touched by a man you aren't already attracted to or have feelings for is repulsive to women.

Now they have studies showing there's pheromones between dogs and people, too. Now, that I believe is definitely true for me, but it wouldn't be true if someone had a fear of dogs.

Absolutely true. And dogs will rub a toad no matter that it can actually make them sick later.

A pleasant variation: I bought some flowery soup before Christmas and one of my dogs was trying to roll in it before I ever got it out of the bag! Yes! A big improvement! Now if only my dogs and cat would take a liking to something to improve their breath.

Pheromones don't exist in humans. We barely produce them and lack the organs and neural pathways to detect them. It's bunk science to sell things to gullible idiots.

Think about it this way: if pheromones were a thing for humans, the biggest thing they would be for is indicating womens menstrual cycles. Yet men are famously, historically, culturally iconably, incapable of inferring that a woman is on her period or at the peak of her cycle.
