westernxer
Los Angeles is home to countless illegals of all nationalities, but the government doesn't go door-to-door trying to weed them out. They usually round them up in massive numbers to make the catch much bigger (at road checks or on the job itself). Tax dollars at work, if you will. If the illegal has a record and is pulled over by the police for whatever reason, the police will detain them and hand them over to Immigration. That being said, any illegal who wishes to visit San Diego from Los Angeles is either crazy or stupid. Police are always on the prowl down there, and road checks are frequent, almost daily. They also post signs warning drivers about illegals who dare run across the freeway. It's insane. The illegals I know personally make it a point to stay away from San Diego altogether. Why do you want him deported? Has he done something to hurt you or your family? I doubt your uncle would get busted for this, but that's why God created lawyers, to answer questions such as yours. RecordProducer
Thornshurt, yes, your uncle can get in trouble, because he is obliged to report the room mate. But if the case is related to criminal, it's more important to save your uncle than whether he broke the law. As a matter of fact, if this immigrant does something real nasty, your uncle will get in a BIG trouble, because he could have reported him and saved other people. What did the guy do?
