Author Maxie Max
I hope the bouncers escorted him off the premises! He stayed for an hour and was within a few feet of me most of the time.

Author Maxie Max
Why didn't you tell him to get lost? Was he invited to the party? Was it a public party? It was decided to not say anything to him in order to avoid causing a disturbance at the function. No, he wasn't invited. He heard about it through word of mouth and showed up. It's was semi-public. No Limit
You will not believe this. Then again, you very well may. He heard about a function that my parents were having and he showed up for it. It was at my family's home. What a freak. The next time you be sure to get him thrown out, either by the people there or dragged off by police shouldn he refuse to leave willingly. This behavior of his has stalker potential; be sure to tell your family that so they can react the next time he attempts to come over.

His brother and a couple of his friends were there and very much welcome. I knew that he would have heard about the party and would have wanted to attend under normal circumstances but considering what all has happened between us - I never actually thought he would show up at my family's home like that. It was a monumental celebration. Myself and one of my sister's decided that we would just let him be instead of having it turn ugly. But, next time - as you say - it will not matter. Author Maxie Max
A friend of mine thinks that I should tell people to not discuss him with me. However, I feel like if I go around and actually notify everyone of this - then, they will want to know why. They'll ask if something happened. That is when the gossip kicks in. Uggggh I also feel like it will get back to him when I have advised everyone of. What are your thoughts on this? This transpired because someone repeated to me what my ex was discussing at the function. He told someone that he has since moved away, about an hour away. He also gave them the name of a club that he frequents now. The person was neither here nor there because they really aren't even in the mix of things or cares that much. However, when this information reaches me I was able to see that he now lives with one of the main ones he was cheating with and he is having the time of his life frequenting strip clubs. It seems like he is seriously trying to work my nerves on purpose. I find it very tacky information to share.
PegNosePete
It's not necessary to pro-actively go around telling people not to mention him to you. Just tell them at the time. For example if someone says to you "hey did you hear X is getting a new job at Y" then you say "Look I don't give a crap about him, please don't tell me anything about him from now on because I am not interested"
No Limit
No, don't go full-scale "don't talk about him" on everyone. If he finds out about it he'll know he got under your skin and will try his BS even more. Besides, who knows what his life really is like. I'd flee to a strip club too if I couldn't have sex with my "GF" at home because she's all whiny about my cheating and accusing nonstop when, as a cheater, you don't want to hear any of it. Strip clubs also seem to have a taboo effect on many people. Chances are he made a clown out of himself for many of the people he was talking to.
