Tamed Wildflower
To the women out there, a question about breast development-- Mine started developing early, when I was about 8 or 9, but then, well, they didn't do much after that. An A-cup is still too big for me. Lately, I notice that they are sometimes more full than usual; in the last year or so they have been getting fuller (closer to A-cup size ) right before my period. Sometimes I feel like they are growing, then I get my period and they deflate again. As I approach my 24th birthday (tomorrow), I am wondering if there is still hope for any more growth? To the women who are a little older than me, when did yours stop growing? Did anyone have a growth spurt in their mid or late twenties?
jen4
Sorry to break it to you,but I think they are done growing. Mine get full right before my period too, only to deflate as soon as I start. What a bummer. I am an A cup, after 4 kids, they got big-up to a D cup durring pregnancy but always went down. I always wanted implants but have almost come to the point of just accepting them as is. Author Tamed Wildflower
That's a little disappointing. I do think mine have grown a little in the past year, so maybe they will continue. I am not against small breasts, I have actually come to like having them-- I mean, I can do jumping jacks bra-less!! But I would prefer if they would grow a little more! Any other ladies out there want to share? When do most people's breasts stop growing?
seahorse
Well, I was a late starter, I didn't really have anything at all till I was about 14. I struggled to fill a 36A before I met my future husband. What I did notice however, was that after I met him, and started having a sex life, and he used to play with my boobs a lot, that they definitely got a bit bigger. So maybe that was to do with increased blood flow or something! I grew a wider ribcage as my children came along, but today I'm still only a 38A. After years of being paranoid about them, I've grown to accept them as they are, and my bf says "Anything more than a handful is a waste." Lol.

Yeah, I've mostly come to accept them, I was just kinda holdin' out a little hope. My parents always tell me "anything more than a mouthful is a waste"! It's a little awkward hearing that from my parents, but it's alright-- they're pretty good-natured people when it comes to talking about that kind of thing. I guess I will have to try to find a boyfriend! There is one really sweet man who seems to have begun a little bit of subtle, playful flirtation with me. I have noticed, tho, that the man has HUGE HANDS!! That expression, "anything more than a handful is a waste" becomes laughable at the thought of me and this guy together! It would take 3 breasts my size to fill one of his hands! Oh well. I have other charms.
ready2moveon26
Having big boobs isn't always great either!...
Author Tamed Wildflower
Originally posted by ready2moveon26 Having big boobs isn't always great either!... Yeah, I know. I would rather have especially small boobs than especially big ones. Big ones get too complicated, it seems. Women talk about them getting in the way, and about painful bouncing when exercising, and then there is the sagging when they get older... I was just talking about wanting to be big enough to fill and A-cup.

Jacksin
From a bloke's perspective, the majority of the women in my life have been small breasted and I dont feel Ive missed anyhing at all (like you say they had other great assets). My last wife was huge and the trouble she had with rashes and back ache etc was not worth it, besides they looked bloody awful when she got naked and started moving around, there was no controlling these monsters! jessbabe334
I am 15 and wear a 34DD. Mine started growing when i was nine. when I was 11 I was a b cup, 12 a C, 13 a D and now that i just turned 15 im a DD. I am only 5'1 and slim..not quite skinny...my hips and butt have been getting a little bigger..which i dont mind.. they make my chest look less out of proportion. My sisters and mom have very large chests..but their bodies arent as small as mine. i feel really awkward when people stare at me. i noticed that every guy i talk to seems to be under my control....my sisters say that mine are firm and very nice on me but i just feel odd. how am i supposed to feel? jessbabe334
about what some of u were saying in the forum...right before my period my breasts puff up a little. depending what bra im wearing they usually push into them and make some of the tissue stick out past the edges of the bra...i guess that's normal?
Author Tamed Wildflower
Hi JessBabe. I can definitely see how you would feel "odd" with people staring at you and guys seeming to fall "under your control", when you probably aren't even trying to control them! Yes, it does seem that it is normal for breasts to get a little larger before a woman's period, and I am sure that could totally push against your bra and stick out of the edges. (For me on the other hand, they just kind of fill my AA-cup a little better ) I would suggest having a bra or two in a slightly bigger size for that time of month, I guess a DDD. The breast reduction surgery does seem to be becoming increasingly common. There was a girl in my high school who got breast reduction during our senior year of high school. Among the boys, her name had become synonomous with hotness and lust back when we were in middle school. Like for you, that had to be very awkward for her. If your size really bothers you, I would consider getting breast reduction, but I think you have to wait until you are sure they are finished growing-- I am not sure about that though. SixthSt.Girl
My boobs are about a 1/2 size larger than in high school - they became a B cup in my early 20s (I'm 23 now). But, I've gained a few pounds since high school, too - from a more sedentary lifestyle, I guess.
jessbabe334
thanks tamed wildflower. My sisters had spoken to docotrs about it..they wouldnt perform any surgery until they're 16 or 17. I could never imagine losing them though. I like them, and im sure ill get used to other ppl looking at them...ill take it as a compliment
AngelEyz
you can always get implants if they don't grow anymore. I was a 36A before i got my implants put in.
Ms_Sweetness
I started developing at age 11. I am now in my 20's wearing a 34 C and sometimes a D cup, however they have seemed to grow over the past few yrs. I've also noticed that having a boyfriend who gives your breasts "special attention" definately helps them.

seahorse
Hi again Tamed Wildflower, Lol, yes, I remember the bar man at the hotel where I worked when I first met my husband to be saying to me that he reckoned "handrearing" always worked. That barman always did have a subtle turn of phrase!! I know how the size of your boobs can play on your mind and seem to take over. I've found that that's all it is though, "in your mind". None of my boyfriends has EVER commented on the size of my boobs, other than to say they are ample enough.
Author Tamed Wildflower
Thanks, Seahorse! Yeah, I think I am going the "accept and love them as they are route". That's much more me than doing something like getting implants. I hope I find someone to play with them soon! There is a wonderful, sweet, handsome, intelligent, kind-hearted man that I would like to ask out.... a little nervous, but very happy about the prospect of asking him out... and VERY happy about the prospect of him "handrearing" my breasts!!! elle naturelle
At 26, my breast went up a Cup size, even though I was loosing weight elsewhere. I asked around and people didnt say much. Other effects on your breasts are: - birth control - TYPES of exercise - other consumption habits Be happy with who you are. You look great!
Groovy
I have made a post about my breasts too a while ago Welcome my A-cup friend, your not the only one struggling! Your hormones before your period will cause them to swell a little. Even other people notice on me. They kill then too! There are products that will raise your estrogen and cause your breasts to grow, such as Bovine Ovary, Fenugreek or Pueraria Mirifica . The problems with these products is it may not be healthy to change a hormone level. I found I had insomnia and felt moody....it wasn't worth it to me. Not too mention it may cause Ovarian cysts or other problems from elevated levels. I thought about breast implants and have quit the idea for now. Many of my friends have done implants. I have not heard good things about the Brava system (a breast pump). I have explored it all and may get implants later, but for now I am coming to terms with it. It has really helped me that my boyfriend loves my body just the way it is and says he doesn't want the implants because he loves my boobs just the way they are . I was small when we met and if I walk in the room with big knockers I won't be "me" anymore to him. If you really think implants are what you want do a Google search and browse a support forum. They are out there and the best people to talk to are the ones who went through it. Best of luck!

I mean if you were 17, then it's not that strange that you would have grown then. Just give me a general idea- mid twenties? early-thirties?
