FearandLoathing Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 I am currently scared crapless. We are going to have to move in with my inlaws due to health issues and lack of income. I am worried about the over all impact that this will have on our children, our marriage and health issues. Mostly his parents are supportive, but I have been on the recieving end of his moms stuff before and now I am really scared. Link to post Share on other sites
Lil Honey Posted April 11, 2005 Share Posted April 11, 2005 We did that when our house was being built. It isn't easy. A LOT of misunderstanding can take place. Everyone feels crowded. All four of us adults worked full time. My in-laws would not accept rent, so I would try to get the house clean (except their bedroom, which I thought would be too private to go into) every Friday night before she got home from work. She actually got upset about it. To this day I don't know why, other than she may have thought that it was my way of telling her that she wasn't doing her job well or that she needed my help - when that was so far from the truth. She is a good housekeeper and I simply was trying to repay her in a way that she didn't have to work so hard. Go figure. Link to post Share on other sites

lilmoma1973 Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 hey fear, all i can say is good luck!! i hope it works out but i wouldn't want to live with my mil she causes problems in my marriage and isn't even in my house can't imagine.. always butting in when we disipline my ss and she believes all lies that he tells and always pointing the finger at my and as for my fil can't stand him either.. so hope it goes better for you good luck you going to need it.. i would try for another option if there is a another..
