As a educated Latin-American woman this is my opinion of Tinder....In Washington, DC....

 

Tinder here is very "white" and by "white" I mean frat bros and sorority sisters who now work for congress, lobbying, contracting, etc. Your House of Cards ****. Do expensive Pilates classes, love Starbucks and asking "so who do you work for?"

 

The educated minority men are in "dating-up" heaven.

 

And the white men I have dated, are into "experimenting" with those minority women who are rumored to be beasts in bed and too hot to handle. The fetish of the month.

 

Here Tinder is known as a hook-up app for sure, is that true in other places in the country?

 

Yes, it is a hookup app everywhere.

 

Personally, I prefer non-white women. However, I would never do OLD again...

 

Btw, how's the dating culture in Washington DC. I'm seriously considering moving there and I'm looking for something serious.

5ft 8. That's me in my avatar. I've been on POF since March 2013, not one date. I've detailed my negative experiences on there in previous threads of mine. Sometines I was lucky if I received one message a month, and that was usually from a complete wildebeest!

 

Unless you're one of the top 20% of guys (Google the 80/20 rule) avoid POF (and online dating in general) like the plague.

BTW, if a woman tells you that lying about your height online is bad, don't listen. Trust me, I've seen a woman stick with men who turned out to be married.

In the south its a country guys paradise and a minority nightmare unless you're tall or thuggish.

 

My experience is that more Latinas responded to me old.

 

But I've since gotten rid of it. Its all aesthetics and unless its niche, whites rule it.

I do understand that some white guys will find me exotic, but fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes are exotic to me so I guess we are even. :shrug:
