samantha80
I am 5'3 and weigh 100 pounds is that normal? how can i gain 15 pounds in 1 month?
westernxer
If you feel good and are eating normally, then maybe you're just one of those people with a high metabolism. A girl that's 5'3" 100 lbs. is perfect by most guy's standards. You can always do weight training if you want to add muscle mass, plus your appetite will increase by leaps and bounds. Age has a lot to do with it, too. How old are you?

samantha80
Im 20 yrs old. i like to weigh 120 do u have any tips on how to gain that much weight even though i have high metabolism?
westernxer
You should ask a fitness trainer or dietitian for some advice on this... they can help you add weight while staying fit and well proportioned. Do you have any friends or family who've been successful in gaining weight? I know a lot of people who drank protein shakes between meals, but sometimes it didn't work. If worse comes to worse, you could always follow AlphaMale's advice.

I am a guy, five foot four, and weigh 135 pounds, which is supposedly in a very good range for me. If I lost ten pounds, I would probably look very thin and trim all around. I used to weigh 115 a while ago, and I was pretty much a tightly bound stick of muscle; fit, but very thin and tiny. At 100 pounds, I would be falling down in a strong wind. You are an inch shorter than I, so it sounds as though you are quite the slender one. I don't think it sounds healthy to try to gain fifteen pounds in one month. Before you do anything, you should talk to your doctor and/or a nutritionist. You may be a tad underweight, but that depends on a few things.
Ms_Sweetness
It could be normal for you, especially if you have a small build. It all depends. I am also 5ft3, but I weigh 135 and still feel thin.
katie79
I agree w/ Ms_Sweetness. It depends on your build, not just your height. My doct said normal weight for me is 135 lbs. Here...This will clarify from the doctor's pov to all. This is what you should be (and this is considered *under* the norm, since the president is planning to have this changed because he is in great shape, eats right, & exercises and is considered overweight, so this may change). http://www.weightchart.org/
