I'm just curious, how many LoveShackers here believe in God?

If you want to answer, feel free to answer with a "Yes", "No", or a "Maybe".

Yes.

No.

Sort of. I believe in the possibility of a Godlike force. I don't believe in the Christian concept of God, but I do believe there is something beyond our current comprehension driving the universe. I personally believe that quantum physics comes closer to explaining this force than does religion.

Nope.

And especially not after I watched Nova:Origins ..

I don't know. I accept the possibility that the unexplainable exists, perhaps in the form of a diety or God and we simply have no other way to explain it/him/her. But a belief or faith---no, I don't have that. In a way I wish I did. So many find it comforting--especially when they are going through things like I am going through right now. My mother believes and she's the one dying. She finds comfort in her belief.

Sort of......

Just by answering like that I feel so sinful. You see I have been raced in a VERY religious family and a lot of beliefs have been drained into my brain but..........well I should not even get into this.

My answer is Yes in a way.........

You hit a very difficult subject here, at least right now in this chapter of my life it's very difficult.

I'm more of a scientific thinker myself. I flit between agnostic and atheist so I'll have to say no.

No, but like Naive said I feel bad for feeling that way because of the way I was raised. My family is Catholic and some are very Religious. I believe there is a higher power, but there are just too many things that make me think there is no God.

Like how come different groups believe in different Gods or Saints? People worship different things and who is to say which is the right one to believe in. Catholics believe and pray to saints. I visited the Church of Christ which is mormon. They don't believe in Saints, but they believe in Prophets. They would read the book of Mormon more than the bible.

Then, I think about evolution and scientific stuff like that makes more sense to me than believing that God magically created earth and everything in it.

I don't know. I would like to believe in God and believe that he really watched us and has a plan, but it's too hard for me to believe.

i believe in a higher power of some sort..........................

Yes, Of course I believe in God........talk to Him everyday. ;)

Posted

No. But I kinda believe in Mother Nature.

Posted

I believe it is up to us to make the world a better place. At the very least, we should better ourselves. If that proves the existence of God, so be it (even though talk is cheap).

Posted

incontrovertibly, yes.

Posted

Yes, I believe in God. He and I are close....

Posted

God forbid! No...thank god, no! :D

I am 100% an atheist.

Posted

Yes, I do as well. To think we are all here by chance, and that everything is so finely tuned in the universe by a cosmic accident is too far out for me. I think it takes more faith to believe that than to believe an intelligent being created all of it.

yeppy ... I am His, and He is mine ....
