joseyposie
i just started working a new job and the mgr and the coworkers are all new to this company. the new mgr is not really good at being a mgr and there is a dominant coworker taking control since the "real" mgr looks busy and doesn't do much but want to spill out orders. when u ask him questions he comes back with sarcastic remarks that i ignore. well this week the dominant coworker wanted to tell the district mgr that the mgr is really bad.i just put up with it and ignore it cause it will back fire on him when the corp. people come back in two weeks. but she emailed the district mgr and told him that all of us feel that the mgr should be fired. now the "real" mgr approached me and ask me this if i agreed to the email and i played dumb and didn't know what was going on. should i quit and find something else i have enough drama in my life taking care of an ill mom at home to and working 40 hrs a week? i really didn't want to get involved but now the other coworker has gotten me and others in trouble do i get my coworker in trouble or quit and come back after the drama is over? agnf666
Usually work is like a big Soap Opera. There is so much drama no matter where you work. My advice is to stick it out for a little bit. If the drama makes it hard for you to perform your job then I would look into getting another job. Good Luck!!

You would think people would be proffessionals at work, especially supervisors/ managers, but from my POV, they seem to be the wackiest ones there! i would stick it out another month or so, maybe start REALLY looking at other jobs and options....maybe a transfer? but i would try to stay out of it until the corp. head folks get back. alphamale
if u are gonna quit make sure you have another job lined up already. it is 100 times harder to find a new job when you are unemployed than when you are employed. and keep in mind that working is stressful but not working is much more stressful. westernxer
Your situation sounded a lot like mine, except that I was at my job five years before quitting. I finally couldn't take it anymore, so I gave my two-weeks notice and said "later." It's been over six months and I'm still jobless, but I was able to collect unemployment benefits, so it hasn't been too bad. My biggest challenge is when I actually find new work... gonna be hard after having so much free time. Too bad I couldn't be a trust fund baby. Regardless, I'm glad I quit. I'd definitely start looking, just to see what's out there. Don't do what I did unless you can afford to... I had emergency cash to live on when I bit the bullet, so it hasn't been too bad, except that my experience has made me overqualified for a lot of positions I've come across. Good luck.
