How to get from a date to a serious relationship?

Hey Guys. I'm fairly new to the site, have been reading a lot of threads lately, and finally decided to post a new one.

I am finding myself having some difficulty developing something more serious/exclusive from the dating scene. I have been on numerous dates over the last 2-3 years with little to no luck. I've been in 2 serious relationships both under a year prior. I usually go on about 2-3 dates (usually with different woman) a month and find that most of my dates come from match.com, coffee meets bagels, and a few from the local bars/breweries...etc. My problem is that the majority of my dates that show some interest in me, are with woman I just cant connect with despite initially drawing my attention (either there is no chemistry, attraction, similar interests...etc) and the few that I actually like and have chemistry/attraction to do not seem overly interested and usually fizzle out after 2-3 dates which I'm sure is a pretty common problem.

So I guess my question is what I am doing wrong that I seem to have a difficult time getting my dates who I am pursuing interested in me. If I'm usually interested in someone I will let them know fairly quickly. I find that despite this, and that fact that majority of times I end my 2nd/3rd date kissing the girl, I cant seem to get the relationship going any where?

*I should add more context to this story and mention that I'm in the late twenties, have my own place/car, and am fairly outgoing. I wouldn't say I'm the best looking or funniest guy out there, but I'm definitely somewhere in the middle, and I can hold a conversation with just about anyone. I would say I have a decent level of confidence in myself, however, I am trying to switch my career which may contribute to my confidence level being slightly lower for the time being.

What do you guys think, any advice is greatly appreciated.
