b52srock
Well, spent the entire weekend cleaning the house from top to bottom, just to keep myself from going completely crazy. The end is near, and if I don't keep my mind off of it I know I'm going to become hysterical. I don't want this divorce. Never did. Busted my butt to try to get him into counselling, to work things out, to make our marriage so much more than what it was. Have a question tonight, though. STBex has been doing this whole body building thing for the last couple of years. At first it didn't bother me, even tried it with him for a while, just wasn't my "thing", you know? Well, as he got bigger, so did I...not obese, mind you, but a few extra pounds that I felt were in the way. Now I'll grant you, I may have been overly critical of myself and the way I felt I looked, but it really didn't help to have him standing behind me in the mirror flexing his biceps and asking me to touch them when I felt like crap about how I looked. Anyway, to make a long story short...I'm starting to wonder if the "supplements" he's taking might have had something to do with the drastic change in his personality. With the affair. With the impending divorce. I may be grasping at straws here, but everyone sees it but him. His friends. His family. He swears he's not taking that many, but my son has watched him take these things by the handfulls 3 and 4 times a day! I've spoken with the wife of the guy he works out with, and she says her husband has been taking steroids of some kind. Its something they're picking up at "health" stores, you know? He's tried to tell me he's checked with a doctor about some of the things he's taking, but he wouldn't go to the doctor while we were married unless something was broken or bleeding. So tell me...is it possible this has gone from innocently fighting the big 4-0 to something that has built up in his system to the point where its affecting his mind? Pocky
Yes, steroids could have an impact on him emotionally and mentally. http://www.steroids.org/overview.htm
alphamale
it probably has more to do with his boost in self-confidence and that more women are showing overt interest in him cause now he is "buff".
