I do believe there is method in the madness but so far and beyond our evolving minds to daily grasp. Let me edit that a little and say there are some but not most that at least glimpse. Glimpse, funny word. We are always glimpsing things and more and more....I don't think humanity is anywhere near the possibilities. Oh well, the trying, reaching and searching is what we do and should. While some of the overarching principles like controlling your own destiny and being the best you can be are appealing, the structure and people involved in it appear to be rife with corruption and money-grubbing. Has anyone else discovered new religions that interest them? When I wanted to fill the spiritual void I felt, I discovered many different religions. The only one that resonated was (new-to-me) Christianity. My life has never been the same. As with all religions, they become polluted by the sins of man. But the true message of Christ is pure and fulfilling. People being 'immortal beings who have forgotten their true nature' sounds pretty encouraging, although the term 'auditing' conjures scary memories of financial documents. The thetan - the true intrinsically good, omniscient, non-material persona within me - is perhaps just waiting for me to accept it and embrace it. (But I don't want to pay for the introductory course. I wonder how amenable L Ron. Hubbard is to an online self-study course) Has anyone else discovered new religions that interest them? I must say that despite the bad rap, it sounds an awful lot like certain other mainstream religions, though. Auditing/confession and payment/tithes anyone? I will not be joining scientology. (FSM sounds good but I don't like beer ) If you watch the documentary Going Clear, you'll see that it's not even a religion; it's a money making scheme of a man who believed himself to be mentally ill at the time he came up with it. 1 Link to post Share on other sites
