I know why you're losing muscle.

 

1) Too much cardio.

2) Not eating enough

 

Work more on weights and eat alot of protein. I promise you, you're gona get in better shape. Go to worldfitness dot com they're very helpful when it comes to dieting. I lost 30 lbs with their help

 

So , no way to be in shape if you only run or swim?

Is the omega 3 the same as the fish oil stuff?

 

No; you can get Omega 3s from fish oil, flaxseed oil and flaxseeds (as flour or in breads, etc), eggs, walnuts, and other stuff. If you get fish oil, get the more expensive sorts. Apparently cheaper ones are what give you endless fish burps :sick: Omega 3s are good for you - as are Omega 6s and 9s.

of course there is.. you're building muscle too when you swim and run. But if you want to lose FAT, 45 mins a day of cardio is more than enough.

 

swimming is really good for building muscle :)

It's hard to eat a lot of protein, especially the amount you need to build muscle. I'm pretty cut and toned for a chick, and I get the extra protein I need from whey protein shakes.

 

Go to your local gym or GNC store and buy a jug of whey protein powder mix. I get the vanilla kind. Take a blender and mix one scoop and a cup of milk with a couple ice cubes, plus add any fruit you want - strawberries work good. The cubes are important to thicken the shake. I also add a pack of Equal. I drink two shakes a day, and have noticed a big difference in muscle mass.
