OP, it sounds like you're doing quite a bit already to communicate with her. If I were you, I'd try and figure out where her insecurity is coming from and maybe ask what she thinks you texting her more will accomplish. I find that sometimes, when I want more communication, it's because there's something about the relationship I'm feeling insecure about, but increased texting is not the solution, because once you're in that place, there's never enough reassurance.

 

It's a tough situation you're in, but if she's compatible in the ways you say she is, I would work like hell to come to some kind of understanding before walking away. Good luck.

I have read all the posts and I'm surprised about some opinions. I think it doesn't have to be a trust issue nor anything like that, maybe she just likes to talk more than you do. I'm in a long distance relationship and I text my partner every time I have a chance, even if it's just to say something silly, and he does the same. When we go out with friends we also "update" each other every few hours, just to say "I'm having fun" or "I have had the greatest meal ever", or whatever.

 

However, other people just don't need so much contact, and I guess you are like that. I think you could solve this with communication, you could find a way it works for both of you, you could text her more often (and always reply to what she says even if it's with an okay, so she knows you have read it and you care) and she could understand you are just not that type of person who always text, so she doesn't think it's because you ignore her.

 

Don't just give up on each other because of this.
