Then when a guy says.

Can I have someone who hasn't fu*ked a whole football?

They go off.

Double standard! Past is the past! It's none of your business!

It really depend on the guy's intention and tone of voice; basically what type of guy is it coming from?

a) Guy that played the field a lot during his youth and has had a bunch of casual encounters but all of the sudden he's disgusted if a woman had a past similar to him. His reaons: she's the townbike, ewww the dicks that entered her, she's damaged good, etc.?

Definitely double standard and he shouldn't even demand low count nor pure woman since he's that not in a man himself.

b) Guy like the OP that is indeed a serious that believes sex should only be in a meaningful relationship or if it were a man waiting till marriage. He is within his rights to want a woman compatible to his values regarding sex and relationships.

NO double standard there and nope, he doesn't have to stay with a woman that intentionally lied about her past nor follow ''the past is the past'' mantra. The hell with ''the past is the past'' in that case since that's a specific man.

And the OP's tone of voice is very different from guy a. Besides his reaction towards being deceived for 4 years, I don't see anywhere on the post about him referring to her with derrogative names like an obssessive slut-shamer (guy a) would.

I have no problem with a man who wants to be with a virgin. I have a problem with people who lie.

BUT I also have a problem with a man who expects a pristine girl when he is NOT pristine. Thankfully, that is not the case with the OP. He does not seem to be a hypocrite.

Bottom line, he cannot accept someone with a checkered past, she has one and lied about it. They will both be better off in other relationships.

As far as the unrelated tirade about how forums work, as a woman who does NOT do that, I'm gonna try not to be annoyed.
