sportygirl89
This last week I've only been to gym 2x because I thought the crossfit work outs looked simple. I meant to go to my other gym but I feel like I've just lacked motivation.
newmoon
ditto. i exercise daily, but this last week i exercised only 4 of 7 days and now i feel lazy and upset with myself. it happens though. sometimes your body just doesn't want to do it. personally, i get re-motivated by changing the time of day i workout and i also completely switch my exercise routine the next day because it gives me something to look forward to. maybe something personal is bugging you and it's playing over in your mind.. that can take away motivation and focus. hawkeye_pierce
For me it's pretty easy to stay motivated. I'm going through divorce so the gym is really helpful in relieving stress. However, I do have days when I don't want to go (and know that I need to to keep losing weight). On those days, I tell myself that all the hard work will pay off. I'm making myself more marketable to whoever the next person is in my life. All that aside, I'd say my biggest motivation is my kids though. I want to be around for them. I want them to see what a healthy lifestyle is. They see me go to they gym. Hell, a lot of times I take them to the daycare that my gym has. When they were born, I weighed 70 pounds more than I do right now. I don't want them to remember daddy being fat.
merrmeade
Anyone dealing with this aspect of the motivation (lack thereof) monster? adult adhd Not something anyone understands if they don't have it, haven't had a long time and haven't researched it (a lot). Now, that said - Novelty is an essential ingredient in activities for adhd adults and children. Difference is adults can step outside and apply strategies and manipulate circumstances. Same with any program of self-improvement or initially disagreeable or uninteresting task. But the first step is still being motivated to apply the strategies, tricks and changes to be motivated to do the thing you think you want to to do! Thoughts? Suggestions? (Help. Need to do s/t asap - can't get started)
nadalix
It is not necessary to work out too often - you can supplement working outs with a diet.
loveweary11
The act of going somewhere really puts a dent in my working out. Start working out at home. Way more likely to do it.
gaius
Find a guy you like that won't date you because you're too fat then channel that rejection into rage then motivation. Lose the weight just to show off and spite him.
martaldn
This last week I've only been to gym 2x because I thought the crossfit work outs looked simple. I meant to go to my other gym but I feel like I've just lacked motivation. its not easy unless you really like working out lack of motivation is the first reason people give up the gym how do you find CrossFit? I love it and it is actually the only thing that keep me motivated to go to the gym. I go 5 times a week with one PT session a week. All focused in crossfit. and I love it. I think once you start seeing results that is another reason to keep doing what you are doing.
