Ending it

Recommended Posts

Good luck to you Sassy...

Some affairs are strictly about friendship and enjoying each others company. It seems to me this is what the OP's was about (Sassy, feel free to jump in if I'm off base). Not every affair has to entail romantic feelings and emotions.

Exactly. There was plenty of chemistry but also a mutual respect and understanding. Neither of us wants more from the other. There were no comparisons with spouses. When it was just us, it really was just about us and it was really nice. But that's all it was.

Hmmm, my above post meant to quote another poster who commented on the fact that Sassy's affair sounded rather cold, however I accidentally quoted Southern instead... Well, you get the point, everyone

Anyway, I hope this turns out well for you Sassy and doesn't blow up at all with his wife. Crossing fingers it goes away quietly.

Sassy,

I always enjoyed the straight up, no nonsense advice that you give out here. You truly sound like you have no delusions about your affair or your marriage. I hope you end this affair and end your crappy marriage too. Certainly you deserve someone that is worthy of you. All of you.

Best of luck and I hope you'll keep us all posted with your progress.

I'm still bummed when a friendship ends.

Kudos for being so strong and calm!

Just because you know what is needed to be done (ie. end it), and you actually do it, doesn't make it any less painful. It doesn't always have to be all theatrics and internal drama (like me). I am sure you are not feeling "nothing" at all, but is choosing to trudge on with your decision because it is for the best.

I wish you the best of luck. Hugs.

Sassy,

In reading much of what you post, I have to say that you keep it real. You say it as it is and no beating about the bush.

You're very logical in your responses and logical and real about your affair. I hope you can make your marriage better, if that's what you want.
