This was interesting...I contacted a woman on POF, figured she we were pretty evenly matched looks-wise (average looking, but cute) and also were seeking the same in a relationship and similar beliefs.

I got a, "Sorry, not interested" response.

Now, usually I have seen that the person visited my profile if they do this. I did not see that she viewed it.

I responded, "But you haven't even looked at my profile."

She said, "I'm actually paying for the A-List service where there's an 'incognito mode'." I was like "Wow, someone is actually paying a monthly service for a free site?"

The benefits to being an "A-Lister" is rather insignificant and not really worth it in my opinion, but apparently to others it is?

Is it really worth it? I mean, what's the benefit of not seeing someone look at your profile?

I've wondered why pay for that also. I know you can view anonymously but I don't get the point of that either. Also, you can see the names of the people who "like" you. On mine I was only able to see the number of people who liked me but it wouldn't show me names. I figured if they liked me enough they would message me, so I wasn't paying for it.
