thechone23
I have this weird sleep issue. I sleep fine on most occasions, 7-8 hours a day and it's pretty heavy sleep, UNTIL I have to schedule to awake at an early hour. Those nights I have very choppy or no sleep at all. Say if I don't have to get up early, and I go to bed at 11pm, I sleep like a baby until 7 or 8 but if I do have to get up early, like 5 or 6 my body just doesn't even attempt it, as if I'm in anticipation of waking up. Is this some type of insomnia? How to combat it? I tried going to sleep earlier, but I just lay in bed longer.
TaraMaiden2
That happens to me too... maybe it's nerves about the alarm not going off, or me sleeping through it, but I stay awake and alert far more than is good for me. My solution is to have been prescribed some sleeping tablets, halving them, going to bed a good deal earlier than normal, and taking a half-tab. That way, I know I will get a good few hours' sleep, but the alarm will still wake me, because the tablet will have worn off.... It has always worked well so far. Incidentally, I was prescribed 56 tablets (2 x 28 strips) 8 months ago. I am only just now finishing the first strip (half a tab left) so it's not as if I have become addicted, or pop them at will....
