Hey guys, I'm 25 and during my teen times I had few traumatic events which messed me up a bit.

I might get depressed for no reason, during this time I stop socializing and worst of all - I push away people who are close to me.

I lost close friend this way and my ex GF ended the relationship once I revealed her that I have this problem.

Now I have new girlfriend and we both have strongs feelings to each other, she isnt aware of the problem.

Today it hit me again, I didnt talked at all and was getting consumed by negative thoughts,

my GF noticed that and asked if everything is ok and that I'm acting weird.

I dont want her to think that I dont like her anymore or something like that, but I'm afraid to open up and she will get scared or something.

How do I deal with this situation?

If you suffer from depression you need to be with someone who is compassionate and non-judgmental. If her feelings for you are strong then she will want to be there for you. However, if you say nothing you run the risk of pushing her away anyway.

I know it can be scary to open up and risk getting rejected but it is better to know now rather than later. People who turn their back on you aren't worth your time. You need to be able to trust the person you are dating.

All the best.

I have that problem too, that's why im selective of who i date. Have you heard of Shalt, Sad, hungry, angry, lonly, tired, just ask your self if any of the worries can be covered with any of these things. Break the ice with her, maybe put it lightly, ask a question what do you think about people who have depression or constant worried thoughts?
