Met a couple of single women that were former Catholics...one specifically stated that she used to be a Catholic and has decided to give up religious dogma for a lifestyle involving spirituality.

Some of us tend to call them "Crystal Grinders/Worshippers" where they find spirituality, keeping their shakras aligned, replacing scripture with the "The Secret"/"Law of Attraction" publications and so forth.

I usually find them at to be a different level than me when it comes to anything logical and tend to prefer a "rose-colored glasses" way of life. Some may say a Peter Pan complex if you will.

Thoughts on this? Can you take these kind of people seriously...even when it comes to dating?

Give up? I would say it is more like abandon. It is not so much spirituality as it is the occult.

I get the impression they are quite irrational, and busy living out a fantasy.

Is it really worth getting mixed up with people like that? You could get sucked into their fantasy world. Do you really want to get involved with witches, warlocks, and necromancy?

I wouldn't go as far as the witches and warlocks, as they are more holistic in nature. You could say they tend to go along with the philosophizes of Buddhism, ironic as these are American people. not Asian.

"The Secret" should be a dead giveaway that this is the occult.
