america1
Long story short, my ex girlfriend and I were high school sweethearts. I enlisted in the Marine Corps while she went away to college. We made it work for a year while she was at school, but the distance killed us. We went a year no contact, but talked a few times last summer, followed by another year no contact. Recently, we started speaking again. About a month and a half ago she reinitiated contact and we talk daily. With that said, we hung out two times. The first time we got drunk, one thing lead to another and we had sex. The second time we went out for dinner and the night ended with a kiss. We have hungout a week apart. It feels amazing to have her back in my life, but I do not want to rush things. She graduated college this past spring, while I got out of the Marine Corps and am now a college student. The problem is, she lives back in our home state while I go to college 1,000 miles away haha. Time seems to never work for us. As of now, we haven't had any real serious talk about us, but we both somewhat agreed that it is great to be in each others lives right now, but we are too young to jump right back into a relationship. I agree with this, I have many goals I'd like to pursue before I let this girl back into my life. I am just unsure what to do from here, I will marry this girl one day, but for now I do not know if I should minimize contact and seeing each other or if I should play it day by day and ask her to hang out again.
