What do I do next?

Long story short from previous post, after much to and fro'ing me and girl have finally gotten close and letting the romance blossom. She's got her walls high as do I and I guess we're still working out where we both stand.

She then had a family member pass away and I gave her space. Obviously I told her I will be there for her if she needs. We started messaging each other again and to cheer her up, I've been trying to get her out and about with me. She's turned me down 5 times now and I haven't seen her in a while. We continue to message each other though.

So since the last, I replied as usual jovially but then asked her if things were all good between her and me. She replied 'Yeah, why wouldn't we be? :)' . To be honest I am not sure how to read this. Yes I understand I should have called, that messaging can be so easily misconstrued but we're the text generation; the young'uns.

Can anyone help explain this to me? I guess I don't know where I or even we stand and it is not like I can ask about it as she's going through all her problems on top of a full time internship at the moment. I guess it is the fact we've had so much history to then finally settle it all and events conspire against, I am not sure how to go abouts things. Heck I was out last night and had to turn down a few girls who were throwing themselves at me.

I'm pretty low maintenance, all I need is to know how she feels about me and I'm happy to go abouts my way and wait until she is ready to come back. This reply just threw me off balance as I'm normally use to the 'I am going through a lot at the moment, lets just be friends' reply. It sucks that even with our history, it is so early in this romance that I just am clueless whats going on.

Thoughts? What now?

She rejected you 5x and you're still trying?

Enough is enough. After the 2nd or 3rd time you should have just let her be.

If she wants to go out again, let her ask you.

Otherwise you're just coming across as needy and almost harrassing

Now that's just ridiculous. Do you drink a lot too, because you're "the drinking generation?"
