Exactly. My gf is Taiwanese. I'm white. Her parents moved here and are very traditional. She, on the other hand, isn't. We do crossfit together, go to the gym, hike, she drinks whiskey - straight. I help out with the meals when I'm in a relationship and the husbands of both my sisters also cook dinners as their wives work and are not housewives. Yes, white men are more domesticated that Asian men broadly speaking..I hear this from every Asian girl I know/have known. Yo're looking at that list from a purely white-girl perspective. It's nothing to do with "demure" that's 7 shades of horse manure. However, 4th gen or not, if the girl is living with family, who in turn lived with family, don't be surprised if they serve fish-head soup for dinner, congee with beef for breakfast, speak Chinese (Mandarin Cantonese Hokkien whatever) as the primary house hold language...and yes, hold true to cultural traditions. They celebrate the moon festival with moon cake (yum), let off fireworks to celebrate Chinese New Year (legally!) with ALL the family gathered together, and Dragon Boat festival is great too. First Chinese girlfriend "oh, please don't cook, that was awful" (She was a fabulous cook) Last ex gf (must give these girls forum names to avoid confusion) "Can you cook your yummy Indian curry and the pasta dish (fettucini Carbonara) for us twice a week? I had a friend who is Japanese-she came to the University to study-and after living her for like 5 years or so, she was married to a White guy. I feel like dating outside my race I have to 'prove' myself to certain women which I think it stupid in itself because it's as though I'm representing all black men like "look I'm well mannered, educated, great credit, and look good by 'white' standards".
