LookAtThisPOst
I got into a discussion about OK Cupids list of questions and how they thought they thought they answered their fill of questions and just got sick of contuing on. Apparently they stopped about a couple of hundred and that was it. Recently, and no joke, I saw someone that had answered over 8200 questions, I was like "Holy sh*t!!" string of letters
I'm always intrigued by the people who barely say anything about themselves in the main body of the profile, and then go on to answer hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds of questions.
empresario
Let's divert for a second and reflect on how brilliant the user experience developers are at OKCupid. They got a lot of people to care about useless questions that have no feasible end and no one really cares about.

I've seen women demand that they only reply to those who have a 90% or higher rating, funny, I email them, but no response. Seems like they don't honor such things.

Why would anyone think anything of any of these questions or answers realistically though? Why do you? If there is an infinite number then people are just bored or addicted aren't they? They probably click 'yes' 'no' 'maybe' or however it goes because they want to click something. What is the minimum you have to answer to join?
salparadise
I like the questions. They can provide a great deal of insight into how someone thinks, their beliefs and so forth. Granted, there are a lot of inane questions but you're free to ignore them or delete later. If a woman has a high match percentage (>94) it's a good bet that we'll have many similar beliefs and values. And if they've answered a good number of the sex questions it provides some indication of compatibility in that area... which you don't get on any other dating sites. It's not a guarantee that they'll respond but that doesn't mean they aren't useful. A lot of women believe in the validity of the algorithm and contact men with high match percentages. endlessabyss
Many of great philosophers have pondered this question, but have yet to find an answer.
mario_C
It's exacerbated by the fact that you can contribute your own questions as well. Personally, I was into it for a while, but I'd like to maybe delete my answered questions at some point and start fresh. Let's save something to talk about on the date! Don't get me started on the quizzes.

Don't get me started on the quizzes. I know some women that put in their profiles not to email them unless you've answered a good amount of questions. They should know better than to believe in online surveys. lol

Other than it being a really good and intriguing read, the truth here is very different to what you're saying.
