'Stay' by Rihanna, so many of the words and the sung dialogue between the woman and the man resonate within me and remind me of where I was that summer when he ended it...Twas painful to listen to then...and if I hear it played on the radio albeit rarely, I'm right back to that summer a few years ago. A dull ache now, but the scar is still there nevertheless.

 

That and Coldpay especially The Scientist, and a lot of Beatles music. Funny how music that you were listening to during highly emotional moments in your life can awaken memory...

Love my Coldplay. Radiohead also hits the low spots. But--Rhianna nails that push pull like no other--maybe because of what she went thru over Chris Brown. Not a big fan of hers BUT--Diamonds and Stay are truly emotive when it comes to the desire, longing, and faith in a love that may not be 'PC'. I still can see her first performance of "Stay" at the Grammys or another awards show--in a red dress alone on the stage stripped bare of any pretense just her singing this incrediable soul baring song...."It's not just something you take it's given...." Powerful.
