RoseyLife
i recently mailed a man on a matrimonial/marriage website (people who are looking to get married) spilling out all my personal dreams and all about me because he really seemed promising.. he emailed me back saying he would love to be friends and doesn't want to miss out on me because i seem like such a good person. he wrote back a reaaaaally long email. lots of time spent on it. we both like the same poets and he wanted to correspond with our poetry, him sending me his poetry, etc. so i don't think i can do this, because he also mentioned that he just got engaged. he spent a long time on that email and sounded so sincere and eager to know me. i don't want to sound rude or cold, i want to maintain the honesty and heartfeltness. so my email in response to him would probably be: Dear So-and-so, Oh, how I wish I met you a year ago. You sound like such a wonderful person. I really do want to let you know that I joined the website hoping to find a future husband. I truly enjoyed your email, it warmed my soul. To be honest with my heart, you seem like the kind of person I would fall in love with if I became closer with you! That is why I really don't feel it would be best even to be friends... However I believe everything happens for a reason and I am absolutely sure you will be happy with your future wife! My best to you both... Regards, Myname do you think that's too much? overdoing it? it reflects my true feelings.
Merin
Glad you're letting him know that you're not interested in the *Ahem* Friends deal HE had in mind... BUT for real... you got one email from this Guy right? Or ever a few... and from that you can tell you would fall in Love with him? The email you have posted is good... BUT I would edit the whole part about how you know you could fall in Love with him... It serves no purpose IMO. Good Luck
Author RoseyLife
i added the "i think i would fall in love with you" just in case he tried to push it more and say "but maybe we can keep this truly platonic, just be friends." thank you so much for your feedback friends oh how i love you loveshackers... my guiding lights. and honestly, how can two people exchange poems without becoming lovers and start feeling for one another? clynn
Aaaaah, you sound like a poet! Someone who wasn't a poet would not consider such a notion!

BrotherAaron
looks good, send it out with the big loveshack stamp of approval... or at least the BrotherAaron stamp. It can't get the loveshack stamp with Merin not approving, that's for sure
