What can men do when they need a hug?

Recommended Posts

Ah nothing beats dog hugs :):)

I've always had girl mates, but also guy mates who I'd happily hug (generational thing maybe?).

That said, i'm really not a "I need a hug" kinda guy.. I guess if i'm feeling like that I get that same kinda, I dunno 'comfort' from sport - the physicality of boxing or the teamwork in football I find a solid hug substitute.

Clewless, consider this a hug. I understand how you feel and have felt that need. Know you are ok. And everything will be ok, regardless of the way things tend to seem right now. Know you are cared for by your loved ones, and you are doing all the right things you should be doing. Relax, take a deep breath. Just chill. It's all gonna be ok.

Not sure if your a religious type, but when you feel like this again and there is nobody....pray and talk to God. He'll always hear you....And you'll feel a hug shortly afterwards.

My two German Shepherds can make anything crappy seem ok again. I don't know how I'd live without them.

Can you hug your dog? Or some other pet?

I am visiting my father, and he does not have any pets, plus I do not have a dog where I live (residency laws) but I completely agree - dogs are the best hugs! :) Thanks, Lino!

Google "professional snugglers" and see if there are any in your area.

I second the idea of volunteering in an animal shelter. You'll also make friends of the human kind, which could easily lead to hugs :)

And yes, please hug your dad!

Do not look to children for hugs, unless you know them and their parents very well

Someone else told me about this app like "Tindr" called "Cuddlr", but it's out-of-business, or something at the moment... I thought it sounded strange, but hey, I'd give it a go right now! lol :)

I hope this is sarcasm.

There is no path to real men cos the there would be unreal ones...and I don't believe in ghosts, supernatural or whatever LOL

More seriously, people should be more carefree, I think. Although, it's true that I never felt the need for a hug. Basically cos whenever I feel like I want to hug someone (it's very rare, though). I just do it...and never got rejected

So if I knew you and you asked me I would had no problem giving you one...may be even for free (as in a limited time promotion, of course).

Best of luck, man!

BTW this comes from someone that usually comes across as being an effing alpha, whatever that means. I truly despise such crappy reductionist terms, but apparently ppl cannot stop themselves from dumbing everything down below underground level with their frigging labels /RANT
