My sister had augmentation....

Recommended Posts

My sister has lost a LOT of weight. She's the thinnest she's been in a while. She did it with weight watchers....I know she's probably lost some 70 pounds. She looks so good. :)

She had surgery.....augmentation.....a couple weeks ago. She had a tummy tuck and had her boobs lifted. I saw her yesterday. I can't tell.

I know she paid A LOT of $$$ too. Why can't I tell????

If I were to be getting augmentation, tummy tucks, stuff like that....I'd want it ALL gone...lol. She looks the same.

I think you're right. I'm just surprised it's not more obvious for the amount of money she paid to have it done. Maybe she wanted a more natural look?

She said that she had a lot of loose skin on her tummy...she's shown me her tummy before the surgery.

Did you see her with clothes or without?

With. She was sitting in a chair, had on a dress, but you could still see her gut roll. Bless her heart...she's still self-conscoius...you can tell....she was sitting with her arms fold over her belly hiding it. Maybe it's just habit.

I didn't want to say anything to her though. :o She knows she looks so much better than she did. I just expected my sis to turn out one hot momma....not so....she kinda looks the same. :o

There's no such thing as a miracle surgery or product that can change your body figure over night.

There's nothing like sport: half an hour jogging each day combined with healthy food and in one month you literarily won't recognize her!

She exercises seven days a week. Sometimes a couple of times per day. She's a little obsessed...lol. But her flab just wouldn't go anywhere.

Overall, I'm sure she looks better. And as long as she feels better...that's what counts!

my friend is like this. she is a personal trainer, and she just can't get rid of her tummy roll.

sometimes i feel bad...other times i think "oh well" or "haha."

that's mean, and i don't know why i admitted it. :p

Give her time and encourage her.

It never happened to me, every time I'm putting on a few pounds, jogging seems to do the trick. The trick may be to not let the the stomach roll settle in... not for a long time, anyway :D!

I think it takes time for it to show. She has to heal and let all the swelling go down. My Godmother had surgery done a few years back and I was not able to tell the change until like 2 months after the surgery.

I don't personally know anyone to have had lipo, but I do watch the MTV show "I want a famous face" and a lot of times the people get lipo. I can NEVER tell they have had it. And I think at the end it shows them a few months after surgery, once the swelling goes down and they are healed I am sure, so I'm thinking it is pretty odd the lipo doesn't seem to make a big difference.

This reminds me of something one of my profs told us. He said that if you have an overweight gene, or a problem with your weight it is very likely this will always be a problem. Your body likes to stay at a certain weight, so if it wants to be heavy it will be very hard to change that. :o

Does that work the other way around? Because man I eat and eat and eat and gain nothing? :p ]

Dont shoot me!!

Tiki..I agree with the other posters though..it takes a while for the swelling to go down and then you might be able to tell the difference. Do you have before and after pics?

I hate that waiting period though. They told me if I do my nose I have to wait almost a year for the swelling to go completely down!! :(

That's true. My sister had nose surgery and she did not notice a difference until a year later.

LOL yeah it works the other way around. Everyone's body wants to stay at a certain weight. That's why a lot of times skinny people can stay skinny no matter what they eat. I know that the body weight I tend to (usually) stay at is around 125. No matter what, I usually go back to that weight. However, smoking like a freight train and being so depressed I can't eat, has made that drop significantly. I'm sure that once my little self pity-party is over I will be back at my normal body weight though.. :o
