I love laughing, even if it's my own expense...I can take it! LOL.

In that case, hang around. The more the merrier! :)

You said she mentioned Jesus? Is she Christian? Are you?

If you are I know the dilemma you might be going through as you have to "love your enemies" and you have to trust that what they're doing is coming from a good place, that they do mean what they say etc.

If you're not. Good.

I know people, Christians, just like that. They never pick up the phone, they seem to want to be friends, they call themselves friends, but never really do anything that might be considered "friends". They spend all their time acquiring new friends through Facebook. They snub you all the time but they're friendly to your face and may even string you along with with a couple of acts of friendship.

It's strange. I know so many people like this.

At least you've been able to escape her!

Really? She is a born-again Christian. In one of her first messages to me, she mentioned Jesus and God, I don't know how many times. BUT, as it turns out, she wouldn't mention Jesus/God again until that text that I wrote above. Turns out, she and her husband love to party in Lake Havasu every weekend (which isn't a big deal, but if you had read her first message to me it would leave you scratching your head)...so, that's why I mentioned that, because it seemed as if she was trying to portray a certain image to me and trying to uphold that.

In the beginning (in one of our first messages to one another) I told her that she's cool and funny, and that she seemed like a chick who really has her sh-t together (that's just how I talk) and she replied with "I'm all that you describe me to be, because of God." Ummm, okay. That's the same message where she went on and on about Jesus and God and the first/last time that she'd mention that until the text I posted earlier. That always caught me off guard, but I thought I was reading too much into it.

Yes, she also has many facebook friends, but as it turns out she doesn't hang out w/any of them and she hasn't made a new friend in years.

It's honestly not up to me, but up to you.

How do you want to be treated? With respect or disrespect?

If she's pulling all these excuses out from under her, then evidently she's not worth your time. Also, she throws in a date that specifies she doesn't want interaction with you until the said date. That doesn't sound like a very likable or nice person at all to me, but what do I know? I'm an introvert for reasons given.

That echoes exactly how I felt. She kept making me think it was me. That's how I ended up here, lol. But I don't have ANY of these issues with my friends, or even newer friends for that matter...just wanted to be sure.

My friend, you're fine and this will all blow over...unless she contacts you on that day. Lol. If anything, she's missing out on a good person and she'll slowly realize that if she ever decides to use her head for good by then. Lmao.

Yup. Your story sounds similar. Slightly different with my friend, she would be like your best friend to your face, but the next day, it's like you didn't exist.

I've met a few Christians similar to this who simply don't initiate, they don't do the first thing needed to be friends. Some of them don't even acknowledge you until they're ready to give you their time, then suddenly, you're their best friend and they act like nothings wrong.

Some you know exactly where you stand, others just give mixed messages.

I have no explanation at all why they do this. Its very confusing.

It's like they have highly compartmentalised lives, she probably doesn't even think she's doing anything wrong because she's not thinking of you. She probably thinks you're the one being rude when she decides to give you some time.

These people IMHO need to change. They've got no one to blame for their own busyness than themselves. Too busy? Tough. Take the decisions to be less busy or stop complaining.

But. I don't know. Could be anything.

Yes! This as well!! I think she feels she's gracing me w/her presence once a month or something and I think that's why she unfriended me, "how dare she cancel on me! Doesn't she know I had her scheduled in!" LOL
