Exchanging messages, chatting, talking is a good way to better get a feel for each other. As long as she's answering I don't see the problem, everything takes a different amount of time. Some people can hit it off really well for a day, week or month and then nothing. Don't let that discourage you, just enjoy the situation and let it lead you to whichever destination it is meant to be. If there is a sincere and genuine interest, which so far there seems to be, then progress as you are, don't worry about potentially screwing up, someone who is worth keeping around will be understanding too of such, especially if you have other qualities she appreciates in you.
