Would you take your spouse to a nudist resort?

Recommended Posts

Been there, done that. I burn too easily, so won't be going back.

During my first marriage (30 years ago), my husband and I used to frequent Black's Beach in San Diego.

I am lily-white and what I didn't know about Black's is that the north end of the beach has a section where men go to trade sexual favors. I had fallen asleep after some body surfing and my husband used that time to go and "have some fun."

I woke up with parts of my body that should *never* see the sun. The <ahem> rub was that at the time, my job was one that necessitated women wearing nylons (yes, that was a requirement in those days) and having my severely burnt nether regions all twisted up with tight hose was the most painful thing ever.

Well, until I found out later that my husband was getting some on the side from other men, that is....

We have visited Haulover Beach in FL. Great beach and surf. Never any issues as the beach is unofficially segmented by straight and gay ends. Never propositioned or bothered by advances etc.

Beach is a State Park, sanctioned and lounges and umbrellas rented along with concessions sold beach side.

Great experience for us.

I'm typing from a naturist club now. My fiancé and I have been here a week, we stay at this club for 2 weeks every year. We also go to another one closer to home most weekends and after work for a swim sometimes.

We actually met at the naturist club.

My sons have both been as well. There are several children who go to the clubs.

The committee is quick to identify and eliminate anyone who has perverse motives. We're here to enjoy the peace and freedom of a clothing optional lifestyle not perve on others.

If you have criminal records you'll be barred from joining the movement.

It's a popular misconception that naturist clubs are full of swingers. Ive been going to naturist clubs for 4 years and still haven't seen any hint of a swinger!

It's the "textiles" (clothed people) who have the dodgy attitude towards naked people generally.

I have a load of fun here, we go fishing and play sports and board games... Where else can you play reverse strip poker??

To answer the question, I would go as long as my spouse was more than just okay with it. I personally don't have a strong desire to go nor do I have reservations or judgement of those who do. But I'd go and most likely enjoy it.

But my wife is not inclined to walk around naked in front of others and has expressed her reluctance on many occasions. So I honor that.

I imagine you'd have to be extra careful when casting.

I'm with Redtail on this. If my wife expressed a strong interest in going to a nudist resort, I'd likely take her, but I have no particular inclination to go to one.

Same answer with respect to the concurrent strip club thread.

The fishing is quite safe we're scoop netting for whitebait. ;-)

yes i would take my spouse to a nude beach.

And she has:) I think TaraMaiden summed it up well, it is not a sexual experience, it is a nice freedom. We are members of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) a family oriented nudist organization. We were hesitant to post on here due to the sophomore giggles, but, it you have never tried it you do not know what you are missing.

Mr. Adams, I couldn't agree more....It has been a wonderful experience and yes, it is not sexual, as it is more of an equalizer amongst peers and truly a liberating experience.

And I've seen some really beautiful tattoos too...... I mean, real works of art.

Only available to view, for the privileged few.

eye of the storm

I lived in Europe for a few years and the topless/nude beaches had more grandparents than models. lol The first time I went I saw 3 grandmas chatting and watching the grandbabies I had to double take. Not a stitch of clothes. Once you see that....anything goes.

After I came back to the US I missed the freedom to just go to the beach and hang out.

The first nude beach we ever went to was Black's beach many many years ago....I was furious with Mr. Adams...he did not tell me what to expect...and i was not ready for what i saw;)

It took several years and much convincing to get me on board...but he was finally successful. We have never gone to any other nude beaches in the USA...but we do go to the Caribbean several times a year...and we enjoy our nude vacations.

There are beautiful bodies and not so beautiful bodies....young and old....tall and short...skinny and fat.....but most naturist are very non judgmental. Our family knows we are naturist.....we don't hide it from them. We are not a lifestyle couple....though i think many textilers do make the assumption that naturists are.

We go to couples only resorts....and we go to family resorts. Most family resorts are frequented by Europeans....it is very interesting to watch the dynamics of European Families...often Grandpa and grandma...mom and Dad and the kids are at the beach nude...no one is embarrassed...it is a very natural thing to do. I guess when you really think about it....it really is the natural thing to do.

If it's obvious, and you're doing nothing to hide it, then you're there for the wrong reason and yes - you'd be asked to leave.

That is just not the idea of a naturist club.

IN the same way that if you were at a public swimming bath with an obvious erection, something would in all probability be done...

You're not like any other male I know....

It was probably just the idea of all these naked women... and guys...no clothes.... jeeesh.... this is all so.... and the weather's so warm... and the breeze is perfect and...oh shoot.....

It's kind of like the involuntary erection little boys get, without there being any logical, stimulating reason for it.

It was fairly embarrassing. I am not sure anyone noticed and I wasn't with anyone so I might have gotten away with it. But I wasn't able to go again

erections happen.....the most common thing to do is to turn over and lay on your stomach....or to cover up with a towel. the most common cause of the erection? the wind....no kidding....i am serious....it really isn't the visual stimulation...especially when you are new to nudism.

and then there are the guys who...bless their hearts...take Cialis or Viagra...and they have a half hard penis most of the time. they can't help it.

Like i said...most naturists are non judgmental

Tara made a good point...you do see some interesting tattoos and piercings....

Interesting tattoos and some of the most painful looking piercings. But no judgement at all as far as my experiences have been to date.

I do remember a very painful sunburn a few years ago.

I did lay on my belly till it subsided. Also, not having a big penis made it less conspicuous.

A couple of years later I participated in a nude group photo shoot for someone's art project and was able to keep things more in check. Probably because it was cold

I've heard that it's nothing but old ugly people there, so no.

Thanks for that.

I'm no 'Bo' Derek' 10, admittedly, but I don't fall into either of those categories. ;)

Where - or from whom - did you precisely hear that 'gem'...?

Well I am old and ugly...so word must have gotten out....

Actually...there are people all ages, from all walks of life, all body types. You have what i call pretty people...body builders, lots of plastic surgery......you have your regular people.....just average folks....

It also depends on what beaches or resorts you go to.

I can assure you though that there will be people better looking than you are and some that are not as pretty as you are......just like in real life.

There will be bikers, accountants, doctors, lawyers, truck drivers, waitresses, nurses,.....people are people...some have just discovered how nice it is to go to the beach and not wear clothes.

If it isn't your cup of tea....then drink coffee. No one cares whether you like to go to the beach nude or not. It is a personal choice.....

There are a whole lot more textile beaches than nude ones....knock yourself out.

I absolutely agree....after our first time to a C/O beach in FL, I was hooked!! The freedom and the liberating feeling for me is unmatched.

I also agree that you'll see all types of folks mostly though just regular people enjoying their time at the beach.

yes...and quite frankly...i am not there to look at other people and judge them.

I like the feeling of the sun on my skin....I love relaxing and looking out at the water....listening to the gentle waves kissing the shore.....I love looking over at my honey and holding his hand...

yep...nothing like it

Not my cup of tea, and no way would I take my SO there.

I can do all the nudity I need on my own property, pretty secluded and enjoy each other without having others around.
