kayak2133
Dated this woman over a year ago and after a year she invited me to sit with her and her dad at church. After service, she invited me to sit with her and her dad anytime. She invited me to Wednesday night classes and I came. She asked me this morning how I liked it. Heading out of town this weekend. Plan on seeing her at church next week. Should I ask her and her dad to go to lunch with me the next Sunday at church?
smackie9
So what happened a year and half ago? Why didn't anything become of it? And are you thinking of dating her again?
StocksnBlondes
I think it would be a nice friendly gesture. Please just do it as friends and if you and she want to make something of it in the future ...create opportunities for that to happen. Until then just foster the relationship. It seems they enjoy your company.
Author kayak2133
@smackie9, she felt like I was wanting something more than I did. I was trying to be romantic and she felt like what I said added too much pressure. Everything went well until that. We had several conversations where she told me she didn't experience feelings in return. We went on to date other people during the same time period. After breakups with them, I noticed that she started posting several positive comments on my Facebook page and liking a lot of posts. There was friendly conversation from me to her on the Messenger on occasion. I would like to go to dinner with her and my heart says I would like to date her. @StocksnBlondes, I appreciate your insight. Plans changed this weekend because of my mom getting bronchitis and so she told me I could sit with her dad while she volunteers in Sunday School.
angel.eyes
She's interested in making you feel welcome at her church, encouraging you to attend regularly, and being friendly. She has no actual interest in dating you. Sorry. @smackie9, she felt like I was wanting something more than I did. I was trying to be romantic and she felt like what I said added too much pressure. Author kayak2133
I like the posts I have seen here. She made some positive comments and posts on my Facebook page recently. She was clicking Like on almost everything. Can a woman's feelings over a year later change?
smackie9
I like the posts I have seen here. She made some positive comments and posts on my Facebook page recently. She was clicking Like on almost everything. Can a woman's feelings over a year later change? Sounds like she is friend zoning you. This is why you guys get confused. Just because a woman interacts with you and is friendly by no means is it a show of romantic interest.
Author kayak2133
She invited me to sit with her and her dad anytime. She didn't respond to a phone call or text message over the weekend. Do you think she is pissed I didn't ask her out or just doesn't want to talk to me because she thinks I want more?
Author kayak2133
Please forgive the repetition on this, but I obviously really like this woman. When we saw each other again, she hugged me and we had good conversation before and after the service. She was laughing. I had told her before service that I might bring a guy friend from the other church I have been attending. After service when we were talking a little more she said that I can bring friends anytime and sit with her and her dad. We had a brief conversation right after church when I called her about Wednesday night classes. She responded positively to a text I sent her. I told her on Tuesday it would be nice to chat with her if I saw her Wednesday. She gave me instructions on how to get to the class over text. She asked me the next day if I enjoyed the class and we discussed our weekend plans. My plans had to change on Friday because mom called me and told me she got sick. She said I could sit with her dad because she was in Sunday School. By the time I got to the service and got my son checked into his class, I couldn't see her dad because there were so many people there (big church). I found him afterwards and he asked how I was liking the church and made small talk. Just getting that information off my chest.
smackie9
Again there is no sign of romantic interest.....she is just being friendly and of course she wouldn't mind you bringing more people to the church. Maybe she would end up liking one of them.
froz
Yeah very difficult to say with women sometimes in situations like these. It could be she just wants to be friends and enjoys having a good time with you.
