Why do guys get defensive when a girl only has 1 pic on OLD?

Recommended Posts

The perception I get with women that have only one pic and very brief profiles are that they're not really taking OLD seriously. The odds that these women will actually go on a date with someone are very slim.

Now if you have a good informative profile with only one pic. I would think you don't like taking selfies (which is a good thing), probably don't have many friends and don't get out often (otherwise you would have more pics to choose from and crop your friends out). You're also probably not photogenic and perhaps not confident as well because you probably only chose your best pic. Now whether any of that is actually true, who knows, but that's the impression I get.

There is 1 reason why guys bring this up. It is VERY common for people to post fake pictures or pretend to be someone else online. Stolen pictures or putting up a picture that makes you look better than you really are... It's false advertising.

Seeing 3-5 photos just alleviates the concern that you aren't who you're posing to be. Even then there's is still a chance you might be fake or not look like your pics in person. 1 photo leads people to believe you're not who you say you are.

That's all.

It's also that she doesn't make 'an effort'. It's the same with a sparsely written profile...they can't be bothered.

One of thebest things one can do is change the main profile photo every couple of weeks. Change a few of the other photos. It can renew interest, catch attention. It shows initiative and being serious.

I find it odd that my friends complain about lack of serious responses to their OLD listing but don't change it after a few weeks. Some have had the exact same profile for 6 months! Imagine a company not changing its ad campaign if it wasn't getting results. Adding or changing a photo takes 30 seconds..a funny caption another 30 seconds.

So, I only have 1 picture on OLD, its a recent picture, my face is clearing shown, its a full body shot, where my whole body is visible.

A better question is why don't you want to post a couple of more pictures? It's like putting out a resume and only putting one job on it. Make no mistake OLD is "relationship business" you're competing with other women for the best men. If I was doing OLD (which I'm not I'm married) but if I did I'd have at least six pictures up. I'd have a couple of close ups so you can see the texture of my skin and the color of my eyes and I have full body shots with tight but classy clothes so you can see my body.

Those guys are too shallow and only interested in one thing, so don't worry about what they want. As long as it's obvious by your photo that it's recent, has something recent in it and doesn't look dated, anyone wanting more is just hoping for nudes to masturbate to or as some guarantee you'll sleep with them and not worth a second thought. Block them.

True.

One assumes a person puts up an OLD profile to be noticed and find a potential partner...just like one sends out a work resume because they want a particular job.

People moan about lack off success on OLD but put little thought into how they are presenting themselves.

If women are competing for us by making expansive, unique, engaging, and articulate profiles, the bar is set HILARIOUSLY LOW!

For me personally, I'll take the one pic so long as you wrote something substantial in the body that wasn't a bunch of: "love travel, outdoors, family, work hard/play hard, go Cards!" copypasta.
