Next step, how to act?

Hello, I'm simply another one looking for hint, hoping that you guys can help me decide how to act. In general I don't use Internet forum, but this time I decided to ask for advice.

 

 

 

It's a bit hard to describe my situation Anyway, there's a girl - I've known her for a year and a half. We're both members of an organisation at university. I don't really know how to describe our relationship. We've been definitely friends, but not the kind of close friends. We've been meeting at our organisation's meetings or at parties organised by our mutual friends. During these parties we always spend good time together. On one hand we've never went out being just two of us, on the other one, we were talking just one by one when everyone else went to sleep several times. And again - on one hand we don't know each other very well, we're not close enough to share problems, but on the other hand we happen to sleep together like couples do.

 

 

And now, I mean few weeks ago we were on same trip and spent lots of time together, and I found out that really like her. After this, we're starting to meet more often, but still these are meetings in group of our mutual friends.

 

 

Well I should add that she's 2 years older then me, and also she's a bit... taller :| which does not bother me but I'm aware that it could bother her.

 

 

So here's the question - what should be my next step?

Should I buy eg. theatre tickets and ask her out and she'll know? Or maybe someday after meeting accompany her home and just kiss her? I think I'd rather avoided just asking her if she fancies me, but maybe it's the best way? Maybe you guys have some better solutions?

 

It wouldn't be so hard if she was just a stranger, but I'm afraid of loosing friend and also afraid of awkward situations as we'll for sure meet many times in future in our organisation and as we have lots of mutual friends.

Do you have her phone number? If not then ask her for it the next time you see her. Don't make it a big deal either. You know her well enough where she's not gonna think it's forward or awkward at all.

 

If you do have her number then send her a text or call and say "hey, was planning on going to ____ after (your club meeting) this week, wanted to see if you'd like to join me"

 

Or if there's no club meeting "hey, any plans this weekend?" And let it flow from there
