DirtyBerty Posted October 15, 2015 Share Posted October 15, 2015 Hey I'm 8 weeks out of a 7 year relationship at the moment. I've had good days and bad. Today I have a cold and have spent the whole time in bed. It's made me feel pretty low and starting to think about my ex a lot. Had a couple of pangs of pain and moments of "should I text her". I won't do it but the idea keeps popping up. Usually when I'm like this I work out or do something. Maybe see a friend. As I'm ill this is the first time in 8 weeks I've had to just lie down and deal with it. I also watched a show called first dates which made me really miss my ex. Any advice or tips? If I wasn't ill I'd have gone to work and felt good. Link to post Share on other sites
singme2sleep Posted October 15, 2015 Share Posted October 15, 2015 Don't watch anything involving dating or love. I've been watching horror movies and stuff w/ sharks to help distract me. It helps a small bit. But overall it's hard to keep the thoughts out, I struggle everyday. Link to post Share on other sites

I know its hard but stay strong and maintain NC you will thank yourself when you recover. i remember having food poisoning post breakup i was just lying there and desperately wanted to beg my ex back, sooo happy i didnt.
