Sorry to hear that your mild learning disability affects you in such a way.

You seem every bit normal when discussing and recounting your experiences on here.

Does this mild learning disability also hinder your ability to make friends at all, now or in the past?

I only ask because I believe the best way for the majority of men to meet women is through friends. Having guy friends around who are good with women can also teach you some useful things.

Keep at the online dating if you find it beneficial but definitely do all you can to boost your social life. It has many great rewards :)

Thanks, but what is normal? ;)

I have Dyspraxia which affects my memory, organisation and reaction skills mainly, my social life is okay but not as good as I would like it to though I'm not good in large groups of parties due to having trouble being able to concentrate and pick out conversations, its especially hard when there is loud music, it becomes a sensory overload to be honest.

only recently over the last year have i been comfortable enough with my disability to talk about it publicly.

There isn't a normal but what I meant was there aren't any signs of a disability from reading your discussions.

I'm nor familiar with that disability but I'm glad you're more comfortable about it now and can be more open about it.

I hear you on the large groups. Not every type of socialising has to be big parties though.

I find it amusing that these days individuals in society are so quick to shift the blame to the user should the tool perform insufficiently.

You forget that we're talking about 2 different demographics and age ranges which couldn't be farther apart.

Right, the "You're doing it wrong" statement is quite laughable as there's real no "right or wrong" way to be doing it.

I mean, my experiences with online dating was mostly about a few dozen responses from women, most of which ghosted, but I would say I would actually wind up with IN person meetings 2 to 3 times a year.

So, you could say I had some inkling of results. Must've been "doing it right" if those 2 to 3 were willing to meet me in person, yes? LOL

I kind of have to agree with the age demographic of those 50 and older. Most people in that age bracket are more willing to meet in person and not play the catfish game.

its a strange thing OLD to be honest, though there does seem to be certain factors that can determine how successful you are, good photos, good profile etc
