Is it a guy thing not to wish a lady a Happy Birthday?

I've noticed this pattern from a few male friends and it was pretty obvious they were online at the time.

Any insights?

Ummm, who cares???? It's Facebook.:rolleyes:

I hate FB about this...every now and then it informs who's birthday is coming. It is so idiotic to wish someone bd every day that you don't even really care that person.

Hate it!

"Etiquette" related to an automatic prompt that most people ignore? I had no idea grown adults actually cared whether people on Facebook wished them a happy birthday. Yikes.

Anyone who doesn't wish you a happy birthday of their own volition is not your friend in a meaningful sense of the word.

90% of your fb friends likely won't wish you a happy birthday. Its normal for most people not to wish a happy b-day.

Likewise!

Wow, I thought maybe it was a joke post initially to be honest.

You seriously would sit there looking at who is online and wonder how they could somehow miss the fact that it's your birthday?

Perhaps remove your birthday info from FB, that way you wont be worried and wondering why people don't say anything.

I'm quite surprised at the abrupt replies on here. All I did was ask an innocent question and got bombarded by "worrying what other people think". Wtf?

Sorry apparently a lot of us don't think it warrants a second thought.

With all the things to be concerned, worried, upset, confused, perplexed, etc. over, this is not one that even hits my radar.

Sorry but being concerned about this just seems like having way too much time on someone's hands. Probably something I would have worried about in my late teens when I got a lot of sleep and had way too much energy.

Didnt mean it to feel like a bombardment!

Just genuinely surprised anyone would worry about such a thing, but maybe its not that unusual nowadays.

Perhaps its a generational thing. If you dont mind me asking, how old are you ?
