Do you think there is any chance he is interested?

Would be extremely grateful for your thoughts or any advice, met this guy on a blind date, have seen him 6 times but he hasn't expressed any interest in me whatsoever, in fact after the last date was beginning to wonder why I was there! The upshot of it is I would like to continue seeing him if he was interested in me as a girlfriend but if not would prefer not to have my time wasted and could use the time to find someone who is interested. Do you think I should casually ask him what he wants out of the relationship and if so how do you think I should do this? (do males find this a bit heavy! or is it me is it too soon?) I have given him every escape clause possible, he said after the last date he was going on holiday so at the end of the last date I just said for him to have a good holiday and give me a call when he got back if he was free! but last night he phoned. You could say maybe he is just shy but I don't think so? He put type of relationship he was looking for on the internet was "any" which kind of leaves me  none the wiser. Would be grateful for your thoughts, thank you

Tell him you would like to see him after he gets back from his trip, and specifically ask him to call you. Since you're not serious, go ahead and date other people if you meet someone interesting during this guy's trip. Don't put your life on the back burner--this guy may or may not be interested, so get out and enjoy yourself.

The ball is in his court. Wait and see if he calls you after his trip. If he does, keep dating him and take your time before you get serious. If he doesn't call, he wasn't worth any of your further time.

Excuse the deviation from the main topic, but if you enjoy the company of another person, how are you wasting your time by spending it with him? By your logic, when you get together with your girlfriends or family, you're still wasting time because that time could be spent looking for a boyfriend.

I put this out to the forum members generally, as it's something I've never understood but seems to be a popular notion.

Most likely he is dating someone else and wants to keep you on aside just in case he breaks up with her. The relationship with her is probably not yet exclusive so he believes he has a right to date you, but doesn't want to be unfair to anyone of you so he doesn't want to sleep with you right now.

It's time for you to ask him if he is seeing someone else, but don't do it on the phone, you want to see his eyes while talking to you. He probably went on a vacation with her, but you never know. Ask him if he has pictures from the vacation. You have to sound innocent if you want to get honest answers. But he might keep hiding the truth from you. He believes he doesn't mislead you by this strategy, but he is very wrong.
