Do you think people with 2 different spiritual/religious views can make it work?

As far as make their relationship work?

I've been with my boyfriend for 1.5 years and in the beginning we both were not very spiritual but believed there was something higher than ourselves.

I am now at the point to where I am "hungry" for spirituality and religious beliefs and at times he seems like he's willing to follow my lead and at other times he seems a bit disinterested... I think we have many things we could work on in our relationship such as his selfishness in which he can sometimes come off rude and arrogant towards me.. I'm not perfect myself but I try to keep considerate of his feelings and help in anyway I can..

Back to topic... Do you all think it could work if two people are on different accords when it comes to spirituality, religion, core values, and beliefs??

I think so, but it depends on how open-minded each person is and to some degree, how different the spiritual/religious views are. For example, Christian and Catholic might be willing to find middle-ground somewhere, but a Christian and Satanist? I don't know...

He's unsure of what he is but the closest thing he says he is to is a Deist. I am spiritual but lean more towards the Christian and bits & pieces of the Muslim philosophy/morals/beliefs.

Yep. My new (55-year old) husband converted to Christianity from Judaism.

I'm an avowed Occultist.

As our philosophies on life and how we treat people are the same, we get along just fine and respect each other's spiritual pursuits. I attend church with him when it is important (Easter, Christmas) and he attends mine, when I ask.

What does it mean to be an occultist?
