The most expected one being, he stops talking about his plan, his passion and love for you ends, he stops noticing you, stops thinking about you, you move from being the secondary person to the tertiary person. That hurts. And then it's just you that's left, alone, in love with him, as you make him your God, when he doesn't even love you back. That hurts even more. Or, this plan of his goes accordingly, and hurrah for you. How do you know for sure. How do you know for sure that your MM is in a different bed? Well, you don't. He could be just as well back with his wife. And those are the risks of being the OP. But, if you trust him, then I believe you should hold on to that hope, that he will be yours.
