Op17
Just out of curiosity, has anyone here ever been perfect with relationships their first time? Or did the first one suck and the other ones after that were better?
kilgore
You get better over time but the biggest thing is the fit with the other person
d0nnivain
Practice makes perfect. Nobody gets anything right the first time. First relationships are magical because you have never experienced these feelings before but they are rarely perfect.
carhill
What is perfection? What is 'suck'? IDK, I viewed intimate relationships as part of life and life is a mixed bag. I'd have to answer neither. Though life isn't finished yet, my opinion so far is none, relationships or marriage, was perfect and none sucked. All ended. Again, part of life. Wewon
You get better over time but the biggest thing is the fit with the other person Agreed, its more important to find a match (values, interest, temperaments etc) than it is to be "perfect". As a matter of fact, I have seen relationships that followed all of the so called rules that were completely miserable.

Ace799
Yes and no. Me and my ex where each other's first everything pretty much and not only did we say it our self but other people did (a lot of friends and family), that we was pretty much perfect for each other, we was engaged by our 1st anniversary and got a place together and the fit of the person with each other was perfect, we was pretty much a different gender carbon copy of each other. Unfortunately I basically ruined it (have posted about it before) so you could say we wasn't perfect for each other and this is a honest post because not hung up on her anymore. Michelle ma Belle
There is no such thing as perfection in anything. You learn and grow from your experiences both good and bad.
